Stefanos Papadamou

Dr. Stephanos Papadamou, was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 01/05/1974. He holds BSc. Applied Informatics in Economics from University of Macedonia of Thessaloniki, MSc. Project Analysis Finance and Investment from University of York UK, and a PhD from University of Macedonia.

During 1999-2003 he was CEO of the Greek brokerage company Finaccor Analysis. He joined the Department of Economics at University of Thessaly in 2005 as a Lecturer. Currently, he is Professor in Economics of Money & Banking, in the Department of Economics at the University of Thessaly. He was also the Academic Director of the MSc in Applied Economics for two years. He is also visiting professor in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and Hellenic Open University. He participates in research projects (e.g. PHARE, EUSECON, THALIS).

He speaks very well English and French.

He serves as the Co-Editor of the Bulletin of Economics Journal, as editorial board member of Cogent Economics & Finance and as a reviewer in more than 50 Journals. He is the author of three textbooks in Greek.

His research interests are monetary policy, banking and capital markets. He has published more than 70 academic papers in academic journals, such as International Journal of Money and Finance, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money, International Review of Financial Analysis, European Journal of Political Economy, Southern Economic Journal, International Journal of Finance and Economics, Journal of Forecasting, Journal of Business Ethics, etc.
