Programme Study

The duration of the study program is three semesters for full-time study or six semesters for part-time study. The course program for each semester is structured as follows:

1st Semester – 30 ECTS Credits

  • Four compulsory courses per specialization and the common seminar “Research Methodology I.”
  • Each course corresponds to 7 ECTS credits, while the two compulsory ones are 2 ECTS credits each.

2nd Semester – 30 ECTS Credits

  • Three compulsory courses per specialization, one elective course, and the common seminar “Research Methodology II.”
  • Each course corresponds to 7 ECTS credits, while the two compulsory ones are 2 ECTS credits each.

3rd Semester – 30 ECTS Credits

  • Master’s Thesis

Alternatively, instead of completing a master’s thesis, in the 3rd semester, students may choose to take four compulsory courses per specialization and the common seminar “Research Methodology III.”

  • Each course corresponds to 7 ECTS credits, while the two compulsory ones are 2 ECTS credits each.

If considered necessary, before the program starts, the MSc offers mandatory preparatory courses to fill gaps and homogenize the background of participating students.

Each postgraduate course consists of 39 teaching hours. Attendance in classes is mandatory. Absence from more than 8 hours of instruction in a course results in the student failing that specific course.

Teaching and examinations in the MSc are conducted in the Greek language, while the bibliography and literature cover Greek and international sources. In special cases, such as inviting foreign university lecturers, teaching may be conducted in English.

The evaluation of students’ performance is carried out by the instructor, taking into account the final exam grade and the grades on research or other assignments given during the course.

The minimum accepted course grade is five (5), with ten (10) being the highest grade.
