Maria Tsiapa (Ph.D.) is an Assistant Professor in International Economics at the Department of Economics, University of Thessaly.

Her research interests focus on trade, investment, international relations, production systems, industrial development, economic resilience, and economic geography.

She has participated in a significant number of European and national research projects and has published in high-impact international academic journals such as Regional Studies, Papers in Regional Science, Journal of Productivity Analysis, Environment and Planning C, and European Planning Studies. She served on the editorial boards of several scientific journals.
